Dr. Jay Barganier

My goal and greatest challenge when it comes to my profession is it to create an office, staff, and experience that patients look forward to revisiting. Through excellence in dentistry, we look to create a home for patients and their dental needs. Every day on the job, I ensure I achieve excellence in everything I do so that I can better benefit my patients. It impresses me that my patients care enough about their health that they are motivated to keep up with it themselves and make my job easy!

My staff and I enjoy spending time with patients so much that it makes work a fun place. Through providing excellent dental care, we have found a way to truly enjoy what we do and who we see. In short, our team rocks! We really enjoy every day and we only ask for the chance to prove it.

Education & Affiliations

I obtained my Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. When I finished school, I trained in an oral surgery internship at the University of Florida. I also believe continuing education is imperative to my profession. Every year, I get about three times as much continuing education as required by the state.

In addition, I am a member of the following groups:

• South Carolina Dental Association
• Coastal District Dental Society

Personal Life

I grew up in Montgomery, AL, and have been living in Charleston, SC, for the past four years. I have an awesome best friend and wife, Joanna, and two young children. We are very family-centered and enjoy the challenge of creating well-rounded, respectful, and capable children.

My wife and I enjoy food, sports, playing with our kids, church, and music. We have our foot on the gas and we don’t slow down! Whether it’s meeting friends for dinner, watching a game, or teaching our kids about football or whatever they are being taught at church school, we are on the move.

I believe it is important to be an active part of the community. I am an eager dental mission volunteer, which is something I am very passionate about.

Shannon Hassin

Dr. Shannon Hassin was born and raised on Long Island, New York. She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a degree in Sociology. She then received a Masters in Biomedical Sciences at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. Later, Dr. Hassin went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University at Buffalo. After dental school, Dr. Hassin chose to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC.

Dr. Hassin has a passion for giving back to the community, both at home and abroad. She volunteers her time giving to the underserved and utilizes her ability to speak Spanish to communicate with patients that would otherwise have great difficulty understanding their treatment options. She has traveled to the Dominican Republic and various areas of the United States participating in Remote Area Medical trips.

Dr. Hassin is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, South Carolina Dental Association and Hispanic Dental Association. In her spare time, Dr. Hassin enjoys spending time with family and friends, relaxing at the beach, trying new foods and restaurants and riding her Peloton bike.

Dr. Natalie Zuffi

I am thrilled to be a part of the Carolina Complete Dental team. My goal is for you to feel comfortable in the dental chair and to help provide you with a comprehensive treatment plan that addresses your dental concerns. I want you to be happy with your smile and confidence in the care you receive here at CCD. I am grateful to work with such an amazing team and hope you always have an amazing experience when you visit us!

Education & Affiliations

I spent most of my childhood in Alexandria, Virginia, and earned my bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Virginia. I attended Virginia Commonwealth University where I graduated at the top of my class as a Doctor of Dental Surgery. Post dental school, I moved to Charleston, SC, and completed a residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. I am a proud member of the American Dental Association and South Carolina Dental Association and couldn’t be happier to provide dental care as my vocation here at Carolina Complete Dental.

Personal Life

I have been in the Charleston area since 2015 and love it. My husband, James, and I met in Charleston in 2017 and were married two years later. We adopted a one blue-eyed one brown-eyed Australian Shepherd puppy named Griffin and he is the sweetest dog! On the weekends, I enjoy spending time on Sullivan’s Island and also enjoy walking around and trying new restaurants in downtown Charleston. I love traveling, exploring new places, and trying new things. I’m always looking forward to new experiences, but also love the day to day life here in the Lowcountry!

Dr. Tim McAdams, CRNA

Tim McAdams, CRNA graduated from Medical University of South Carolina in 2005 and has been providing anesthesia in the Charleston and Goose Creek area since then. Carolina Complete Dental is thankful to have him as a member of our team in order to offer Sedation Dentistry to our Goose Creek, SC patients.

Dr. Layne Williams

I was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama, with the best family I could ask for. I attended the University of Alabama, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Biology. I went on to obtain my Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. After dental school, I moved to Charleston and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, where I decided to stay in the Lowcountry and join the Carolina Complete Dental family! I am also a proud member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and South Carolina Dental Association.

I am so excited to serve this community at CCD! I am passionate about making all of my patients feel laid back and comfortable while making them feel confident about their smiles again. I am committed to pursuing excellence in all things and aim for my patients to receive the best possible care and treatment.

When I’m not working, I love hanging out with my rescue pup, Ace. I also love exploring Charleston with my friends and spending time at Sullivan’s. One of my biggest passions in life is cooking, baking, and learning about different cultures and cuisines. Music has also always been a big part of my life, and my favorite moments are spent in my kitchen listening to my favorite music.
